One Dress Two Ways

When packing for a vacation, it is always smart to try and get the most use out of the least number of items to avoid an overpacked suitcase. For those that know me, this is truly a struggle of mine, and I always seem to overpack. One way to avoid this is to find pieces that can be worn during both the day and at night. I thought this white dress would be the perfect candidate. For day, I have paired it with a pair of sandals and a casual necklace. For night, I think it would look great with a more statement-type necklace and high wedges.

The Royal Baby

After months and months of waiting, Kate and William's baby boy arrived July 22. Today he was given the name George Alexander Louis, and he will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. I love it! What a special time for not only the Duchess and Prince of Cambridge but for all of the United Kingdom. There are now three successive heirs to the throne living right now. Of course Kate looked radiant leaving the hospital in a Jenny Packham empire wasted crepe de chine dress  (a brand she wears quite often) paired with  Pied a Terre Imperia wedge sandals. Welcome to the world Prince George!

Color Craving: ORANGE

This summer I have fallen in love with the color orange. Usually I always thing of a certain rival college or halloween when I think of the color orange, but recently those connotations have faded. I now love the color orange.. especially for shoes and accessories! It is such a bright, exciting color for summer that transitions very well into fall. xoxo

 Today I focused on fashion illustrations using watercolors! I love mixing the colors and patterns making different outfits. One day I hope to bring these illustrations to life!

Watercolors

After an afternoon of playing with watercolors, pencils, and pens, I have some cards to share! Watercolor paint is so different from acrylic and oil (what I have always used in the past)... and I do not know if I will ever be able to go back. There is something so pretty and delicate about this kind of art. Hopefully I will have more to share soon! 

White on White

During the summer, I always love pairing white with white. You only get to wear white bottoms for a couple of months out of the year so why not?? I also love the sparkly necklace this lovely lady is wearing!
