Trend Watch: Color Blocking

As most of you know, color blocking is a major trend right now. I especially love color blocking using similar colors or tones. For example, pink and red or blue and purple. I think it looks bright and fun but stylish at the same time. Below is one of my favorite examples of color blocking. She looks so natural and effortlessly styled yet polished at the same time.

Here are some great pieces that can easily be used to recreate this gorgeous look.

Summer Nail Polishes

I always have to have my fingernails and toenails painted. I have grown so used to them always being painted that I feel bare without them painted. During the summer months, I always have to have bright colors on my nails. I am usually drawn towards reds and pinks more than blues or turquoises.

I had always had so much trouble painting my own nails, because I could not sit still while they dried. I always ended up messing up my nails and having to repaint them time and time again. Then, this summer I was introduced to the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish, and it is the BEST. It has a rounded brush for easy applying. Also, it dries incredibly fast; by the time you paint your second hand or foot, the other one is dry! It is so great, everyone should try them out!

What are your favorite nail colors for Spring and Summer, and what nail polish brands do you love?

My Current Jewelry Picks

Right now I am loving chunky or colorful necklaces that are easy to put on with a simple outfit to add some interest and color. Also, I really love the look of stacked bracelets with a watch or larger cuff. I think friendship style bracelets and beaded bracelets are perfect for the laid back summer look. For earrings, I love a great pair of sparkly studs or simple silver or gold earrings that are neither too big nor too small. I have collected some images of my favorite summer jewelry pieces, and these are them below:

Summer Favorite: Rompers

Another one of my favorite clothing items for summer is rompers! They are just so cute! I know many of you have probably seen them as being unflattering or just not attractive, but I think when done right they look great. As you may have noticed, I love clothing pieces that are very versatile and can be dressed up or down. Just as with a LWD or Denim Shorts, rompers can be dressy or very casual. Here are my inspiration pictures:
